Sometimes the houseblogs world is abuzz. I just love that. I think I am going to name my houseblogs fixation after a really good book I read years ago: "Geek Love". The book is about a so-called carnival freak family. The parents try to make freak babies so the show can go on. The book is narrated by a dwarf- anyone read it?
I am going to take this opportunity to thank our humble Houseblog hosts Aaron & Jeannie.
A really big THANK YOU and God speed from Chicago 2-flat. I don't know how I managed my stress etc... before without being able to read other people's stories on a more than daily basis but it's sure easier now.
Everyone, lets' give Aaron and Jeannie a well-deserved round of applause!

Thanks for the book tip! I put it in my amzaon que. I also put M.J. Rose, Lip Service.
I've read Geek Love, I remember it being kind of disturbing.
I guess it was a little- but I found it fascinating none the less. I tend to like darker stories sometimes.
I want to applaud our House Blog hosts, as well. It is a great idea – not just the blog ring, but the show of appreciation. The old house forums I visit on a regular basis are very good, but the blogs are a different kind of internet/house experience. I'm not quite sure how to put it in to words. I do know that I really enjoy it. It is great to be able to express yourself in writing and have an instance audience of people who, even if they don’t particularly like what you write, they can at least relate to it on a personal level – The House. I never knew I would enjoy writing so much, considering I consistently failed English and never made it out of high school. My blog has been a very interesting experience for me and I never would have tried it without learning about it through our hosts.
Thanks!
I can't even remember how I found houseblogs.net I'm just thrilled that I did.
I visit and read every day. Once I get moved and started on things I hope to post on a regular basis.
Thank you House In Progress for coming up with the idea and for hosting it :)
I really liked, "Geek Love." I recently re-read it and found it just as good the second time. However, I have yet to get anyone else to read it based on my synopsis of the story....
A&J rock. Thanks to them and to everyone blogging. I know I can't be the only person who doesn't blog, yet finds the ring indispensible.
